No problem - when you create your FULL Profile, use the PRIVACY SELECTOR to choose what level of privacy you require. We try to complete the process and update the site within 48 hours, but in some cases this may take longer, or your submission may be rejected entirely, in which case we will let you know.
A free listing for someone has to be present in the database before you can add more detailed information, add your credits, upload images or pdf documents use your Lightbox, Favourites etc.
Only JPEGs (.jpg / .jpeg) and PDFs (.pdf) can be uploaded to the system.
You'll need to convert them yourself, or send them to us using our FILE TRANSFER facility (see below) and we'll do it for you.
Yes - but you have to JOIN iMOVIEi as a REGISTERED User - registration is free and always will be.
Once you're logged in it's easy. Find the Profile page you want to add images to, select IMAGES from the side menu on the left and click on UPDATE at the top right of the main information panel. This opens your RESOURCE LIBRARY and you can upload your images.
Click on UPLOAD at the bottom left of the Resource Library window and then click on SELECT FILES to browse your desktop, hard drive, or any peripherals connected to your computer. Select the image files you want to upload, check the thumbnails have appeared and click UPLOAD in the bottom right.
Please note there's a 30mb limit on the number of files you can upload at any one time. If you have more than 30mb of files you can upload them in batches. If this is too much to ask use our FILE TRANSFER facility (see below) and we will upload them for you.
So people can search for images by keyword tag - a search for 'staircase' for example, will produce all the images of staircases in the database, as long as they've been properly tagged. If you've a batch of images that require the same or similar tags, tag the first image, but before you click 'save' copy your tags, and then paste them into the next image, and so on.
No - not if you don't want to, but people won't be able to find your images so easily. We try and go through all newly uploaded images to make sure they're tagged, but we can't guarantee they'll get tagged the way you want them, and they may never get tagged at all. Of course, they'll alway display in the image section of the profile page you've linked them to, so it's not a complete disaster if you don't tag your images.
The system works best with JPEGs of about 1mb. A bit more or a bit less is no problem, but if they're much heavier they take longer to upload and also longer to display. The system automatically processes each image file so it can reproduce them as thumbnails, profile page images, large on the image grid, or even larger in the slideshow. PDFs can be any size up to 2mb.
In this case size really doesn't matter, but don't upload anything too small or it won't display very well on an image page and will look terrible in the slideshow.
We don't think so, because it detracts from the user's viewing experience, but if you'd prefer they were watermarked send them to us using our FILE TRANSFER facility and we'll do it for you.
Get in touch and we'll send you a weblink to our Box.net account. Enter the username and password we give you and you can simply drag and drop all the files or folders you want to send us into our Box.net folder. If there are lots of files it may take a while to upload them all, but you can work on something else, or walk away from your computer and it will complete the process in the background.
Box.net is an online file system that allows users to securely store, access and share files remotely. We remove your files from Box.net when we download and process them for inclusion in iMOVIEi. To learn more about Box.net click here. We're working to integrate the Box.net api into iMOVIEi, so shortly you'll be able to everything without leaving the iMOVIEi environment.
If you uploaded them yourself they'll be in your Resource Library - just checkbox the image or images you want to remove and click delete. If you used the FILE TRANSFER facility to send them to us to process and upload for you, you'll need to send us an email confirming which images you want to remove and we'll do it for you.
We hope its pretty intuitive - just use the Mapping Explorer Panel that drops down from the top of the page, select a Location or Business category and choose to display all the entries in that category or further refine your results by selecting a specific subcategory.
It's easy - go to the MOVIE's profile and then click on the Compass icon to the right of the Movie title bar - the site will navigate you to mapping and the movie's locations will be displayed.
Not at the moment but we're working on getting this feature working properly and expect to have it up and running very shortly.
It's easy - go to the relevant profile and then click on the Compass icon to the right of the title bar - the site will navigate you to mapping and the location or business will be displayed.
If you're a REGISTERED, PRO or BUSINESS User you can use the normal update process to submit corrections, however, we'd be grateful if you could contact us with the details of any substantial inaccuracies, so we can investigate.
The use of copyrighted / pirated material without permission in iMOVIEi is strictly forbidden. Instructions about what to do in the event you become of any breach of copyright are set out in our Website Terms.
